Job Description – Production In-Charge
Position: Production In-Charge
Job Purpose
To manage and control the complete production activities, ensuring efficient utilization of
manpower, machines, materials, and resources while achieving production targets, quality
standards, delivery schedules, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and control daily production activities as per the production plan.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all production machines and processes.
- Monitor production output, quality, wastage, and productivity.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Planning departments for uninterrupted production.
- Ensure proper utilization and mixing of recycled fibers as per the approved product specifications.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety procedures, and
5S requirements.
- Identify production problems and take timely corrective actions.
- Train, guide, and supervise production operators and workers.
- Ensure optimum manpower utilization and effective shift management.
- Control process losses and minimize material wastage.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
Required Technical Knowledge
The candidate should have good practical knowledge and experience in the following
processes and products:
- Plain Needle Punching
- Structured Needle Punching Carpet
- Dilour Carpet
- Vallore Carpet
- Non-Woven Carpet
- Recycled Fiber Mixing and Processing
- Fiber blending as per product specifications
- Needle Punching Machine operation and process control
- Understanding of product specifications, GSM, thickness, width, and other quality parameters Production planning and process monitoring
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of carpet and non-woven manufacturing processes.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to achieve production targets and manage production priorities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good coordination with other departments.
- Knowledge of production documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, 5S, and quality requirements.
Qualification and Experience
- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in Needle Punching Carpet, Non-Woven Carpet, or related textile manufacturing processes.
- Experience in handling production teams and manufacturing operations will be preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
