Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts and general ledger.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle bank reconciliation and cash flow management.
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
- Prepare budgets, financial reports, and MIS reports.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Monitor financial controls and suggest process improvements.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
- M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter (Preferred)
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF & ESI.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
