We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher for Classes VIII and IX for our ICSE residential school. The candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature, fostering strong communication skills, and creating an engaging learning environment for students. Responsibilities typically include lesson planning, assessments, classroom management, and student progress monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature as per the ICSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.
- Conduct regular evaluations and maintain academic records.
- Encourage creative writing, debates, literary activities, and critical thinking.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and academic planning.
- Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in English.
- B.Ed. qualification preferred/required.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience is mandatory.
