Job Summary
The Sizing Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the sizing process to ensure efficient production, consistent yarn quality, minimum wastage, and timely delivery. The role involves monitoring sizing machines, managing operators, maintaining process parameters, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day sizing operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor sizing machines and ensure proper machine settings and operating conditions.
- Ensure correct preparation and application of size recipes according to yarn and fabric requirements.
- Monitor important process parameters such as size concentration, viscosity, temperature, moisture, stretch, and drying conditions.
- Ensure proper beam preparation and maintain required beam quality.
- Check yarn quality after sizing and take corrective action when deviations occur.
- Minimize yarn breakage, wastage, rework, and machine downtime.
- Coordinate with the Weaving, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Planning departments.
- Allocate manpower and supervise sizing operators and helpers.
- Train workers on machine operation, process procedures, quality requirements, and safety practices.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, material consumption, and machine performance reports.
- Identify process problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure machines, work areas, and equipment are maintained in clean and safe condition.
- Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and production guidelines.
- Monitor consumption of sizing chemicals, starch, wax, and other materials.
- Assist management in improving productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
