Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Head to lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations for our pressure cooker production unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, process optimization, quality assurance, workforce management, cost control, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete production operations of the pressure cooker manufacturing unit.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Supervise manufacturing processes including metal forming, deep drawing, trimming, polishing, assembly, testing, packaging, and dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, rejection rates, and overall productivity.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, Quality, and Dispatch teams for smooth operations.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize manpower utilization and maintain production discipline across all shifts.
- Analyze production reports and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety standards and statutory manufacturing regulations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors and shop floor employees.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pressure cooker or cookware manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in production planning, capacity planning, and process improvement.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, assembly operations, and quality control systems.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production reporting.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operations Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- Min 8 - 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Production Head or Production Manager role.
- Experience in pressure cooker, cookware, kitchen appliances, or sheet metal manufacturing is highly preferred.
Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
