Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, label, and accession tissue specimens from biopsies, surgeries, and other procedures.
- Perform tissue fixation, processing, paraffin embedding, and microtomy.
- Prepare high-quality tissue sections for routine and special staining.
- Perform routine stains (H&E) and assist with special stains and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), where applicable.
- Mount, label, and organize slides for pathologist review.
- Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, and disposal as per laboratory protocols.
- Maintain laboratory instruments including tissue processors, microtomes, cryostats, and staining equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and quality control of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate records in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Ensure compliance with NABL/CAP/ISO 15189 standards and infection control practices.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory consumables and report stock requirements.
- Assist pathologists during frozen section procedures and other specialized techniques, as required.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines for handling hazardous chemicals and biological specimens.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
