An EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) Crane Operator is responsible for maneuvering overhead crane systems to safely lift, transport, and position heavy materials and machinery across manufacturing facilities, steel mills, and warehouses. Key duties include performing daily pre-shift inspections on crane components like wire ropes and limit switches, verifying load capacities against Safe Working Load (SWL) limits, and coordinating material movement with ground riggers using radio or hand signals. The role requires technical trade training, certified crane operator credentials, excellent spatial awareness, and strict adherence to safety standards to maintain smooth, hazard-free material flow.
