Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
We are seeking an experienced solution architect to support the solution and data architecture of two strategic initiatives. The solution architect works independently on assigned deliverables, taking direction and priorities from the senior solution architect, while managing day to day execution autonomously. The work delivered is expected to align with the ways of working and standards within org.
The successful candidate will combine strong solution Architecture and Data Architecture expertise with a practical understanding of Data Engineering principles. Stakeholder management skills are required as collaboration with delivery teams and stakeholders across the enterprise is required to ensure scalable, secure, and business value driven solutions.
The architect will define target state architectures, govern design decisions, manage dependencies across both projects, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and strategic technology platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Foundry. Key will be to deliver timely data products or expose data from sources via the enterprise data platform for use in the assigned strategic initiative. It is recognized some creativity might be applied to get data timely in a safe and secure manner, while paving the way for the strategic solution.
Act as the primary architecture point of contact across both projects for deliverables specified by the senior solution architect .
Facilitate decision making between business, data, engineering, security, and vendor teams.
Manage architecture risks, technical debt, and cross project dependencies.
Influence senior stakeholders and delivery teams through clear communication and architecture leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Solution & Data Architecture
Manage the solution architecture of CPDH re platforming (CPDH is data platform for contracting & procurement data)
Creating architecture artefacts as per ways of working
Define data products, information models, data flows, and integration patterns.
Design scalable data architectures supporting analytics, AI, and operational use cases.
Ensure consistent master, reference, and transactional data management principles.
Establish data governance, lineage, quality, ownership, and lifecycle practices.
Work with Data Architects and Data Engineers to ensure architecture standards are implemented effectively.
Data Platform & Engineering Alignment
Provide architecture guidance for Databricks based solutions and modern data platforms.
Understand data engineering concepts including:
Data pipelines
Data lakehouse architectures
Data products
Streaming and batch processing
ETL/ELT patterns
Data observability
DataOps practices
AI & Advanced Analytics
Support architecture decisions involving AI, GenAI, and agent-based solutions.
Guide the adoption of Microsoft Foundry and Databricks based AI capabilities.
Ensure security, governance, responsible AI, and operational considerations are embedded into solution designs.
