Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Record and manage day-to-day accounting entries, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal vouchers.
- Statutory Compliance: Handle monthly and quarterly filings for GST and TDS, ensuring accurate calculation and timely payments.
- Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between books and bank statements. Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments (NEFT/RTGS) and track customer collections, ensuring accurate aging reports.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the accuracy of general ledger accounts and ensure practices align with GAAP or IFRS standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, B.Com, or a related field (M.Com, MBA, or Inter-CA often preferred for senior roles).
- Experience: Typically 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance operations.
- Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, along with advanced MS Excel skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, PF, PT) and core accounting principles (journal entries, trial balance).
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently or within a cross-functional team.
