About the Role
Laxmi Snacks Pvt. Ltd. (Real Bites) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QC/QA Officer for our Bakery Division. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in quality control and quality assurance of bakery products such as biscuits, cookies, cakes, bread, rusks, and other baked goods. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance with FSSAI and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished bakery products.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and Food Safety Management System requirements.
- Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological quality inspections as per SOPs.
- Verify product specifications, packaging, labeling, and coding before product dispatch.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and batch documentation.
- Handle customer complaints, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping practices within the production area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. (Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology) or M.Sc. in a relevant field.
- Diploma/B.Tech in Food Technology may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in a Bakery, Biscuit, Cookies, Bread, Cake, or Food Manufacturing Company.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of bakery manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of FSSAI regulations, HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000.
- Experience in laboratory testing and quality documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
