The University seeks to strengthen its administrative framework by appointing an experienced professional to oversee statutory, legal, and administrative functions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
The University is looking for a seasoned and highly competent professional for the position of Registrar. The Registrar shall serve as the custodian of University records and will be responsible for managing statutory affairs, academic administration, legal matters, regulatory compliance, and institutional governance. The incumbent will work closely with the Vice Chancellor, senior leadership, faculty, and external regulatory bodies to ensure the efficient functioning of the University.
Act as the custodian of all University records, statutes, ordinances, regulations, and official documents.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings of statutory bodies such as the Board of Governors, Academic Council, Executive Council, and other committees.
Prepare agendas, maintain proceedings, and ensure timely implementation of decisions taken by statutory authorities.
Oversee administrative policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient University operations.
Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines issued by UGC, AICTE, PCI, BCI, NCTE, and other statutory bodies, as applicable.
Manage legal documentation, agreements, MoUs, contracts, and correspondence related to institutional matters.
Liaise with legal advisors and government authorities on litigation, compliance issues, and statutory matters.
Monitor changes in higher education regulations and recommend necessary policy revisions.
Supervise academic administration activities including admissions, examinations, student records, and issuance of degrees and certificates.
Support the implementation of academic policies and ensure adherence to University statutes and regulations.
Coordinate with academic departments and administrative units to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Provide administrative support to the Vice Chancellor and senior leadership in strategic planning and institutional development initiatives.
Maintain effective communication with faculty, staff, students, alumni, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
Facilitate accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance activities by ensuring availability of institutional data and documentation.
Oversee establishment matters, service records, and policy implementation related to faculty and staff.
Support recruitment processes, disciplinary proceedings, and grievance redressal mechanisms in accordance with University policies.
Contribute to institutional initiatives aimed at enhancing governance, transparency, and operational excellence.
Postgraduate degree along with a Degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M.) from a recognized institution.
10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in university administration, statutory affairs, legal compliance, or academic governance, preferably in higher education institutions.
Thorough knowledge of UGC regulations, higher education governance frameworks, and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience in handling legal matters, institutional policies, and interactions with regulatory authorities.
Excellent drafting, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong organizational abilities with a high degree of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
