About the Role: The E-Commerce Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the online sales channels of the company. This role involves developing strategies to increase online sales, enhancing the user experience, and analysing performance metrics to ensure that the eCommerce platform operates efficiently and effectively. The specialist will work closely with marketing, sales, and IT teams to achieve business goals and drive growth in the eCommerce sector.
Responsibilities:
Marketplace Strategy Development
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the company’s presence and performance on online marketplaces.
- Identify opportunities for growth and optimize listings to increase visibility and sales.
Product Listing Management
- Create, update, and manage product listings, including titles, descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Ensure product information is accurate, compelling, and optimized for search within the marketplace.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure stock availability.
- Implement strategies to manage and reduce out-of-stock and overstock situations.
Campaign & Promotion Management
- Develop and manage promotional campaigns, including deals, discounts, and special offers, to drive traffic and sales.
- Utilize marketplace advertising tools and strategies (e.g., Amazon Sponsored Products) to increase product visibility.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales volume, conversion rates, and customer reviews.
- Prepare regular performance reports and provide actionable insights to optimize marketplace performance.
Customer Service & Feedback Management
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, reviews, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Address and resolve any issues related to orders, returns, and refunds to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and best practices.
- Adjust strategies based on competitive insights to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align marketplace activities with overall business goals.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues and ensure smooth operations.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure that all marketplace activities comply with platform policies and legal requirements.
- Stay updated on platform changes, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business with specialisation in E-Commerce or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in managing product listings and sales on online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc.).
Skills
- Strong understanding of marketplace algorithms, advertising tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency with E-Commerce platforms, analytics tools, and marketplace management software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with various online marketplaces and their specific tools and features.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM strategies relevant to marketplace environments.
- Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
