Job Description: Senior Quality Engineer – PDI Car Body Inspection

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities for car body quality, with a strong focus on welding and structural integrity. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in NDT inspection methods and manufacturing quality processes, preferably with a background in rail car body inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage PDI activities for car body inspection, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Conduct and oversee NDT inspections (VT/PT) on welded structures and car body components
- Review and validate welding quality against IWE/EN standards
- Identify non-conformances, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with production, welding, and quality teams to ensure inspection schedules are met
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, documentation, and quality records
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in car body quality and inspection processes
Requirements
- BE in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering
- IWE (International Welding Engineer) or EN certified
- NDT Level II certification in VT (Visual Testing) and PT (Penetrant Testing)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with strong exposure to welding
- Prior experience in Rail Car Body inspection strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
