Seven Seas Enterprise, a Mumbai-based apparel and textile manufacturing and Export House, with factory in Tirupur, is looking for an experienced Fabric Merchandiser to plan, manage and follow up day-to-day knitted and woven fabric
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate fabric development and sourcing as per buyer requirements.
- Follow up with mills, knitting, dyeing and processing units for timely fabric delivery.
- Monitor fabric quality, colour, GSM, construction, shrinkage and other specifications.
- Coordinate lab dips, fabric submissions, approvals and bulk production.
- Track fabric orders, production status, deliveries and ensure timely availability for garment production.
- Coordinate with merchandising, production, quality and suppliers to resolve issues.
- Maintain fabric records, costing and order-related documentation.
Candidate Profile
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in knitted fabric merchandising/sourcing.
- Good knowledge of knitted fabrics, yarns, dyeing and finishing processes.
- Strong follow-up, coordination and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and MS Excel skills.
- Experience in Tiruppur textile/apparel industry preferred.
