Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Operations to support and oversee day-to-day hospital operations. The role involves managing clinical and administrative workflows, ensuring service efficiency, supervising staff coordination, monitoring operational performance, and supporting quality and compliance standards across departments including OPD, IPD, NICU, PICU, and PHDU.
The ideal candidate should have strong healthcare operational knowledge, leadership ability, and excellent coordination skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Oversee daily hospital operations and ensure smooth functioning across departments
- Monitor patient flow, service delivery, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with clinical, nursing, front office, pharmacy, and support teams
- Ensure adherence to hospital SOPs, policies, and service standards
Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise operational staff including front office, coordinators, and support teams
- Conduct duty planning, shift coordination, and performance monitoring
- Support training and development of operational staff
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of quality standards and hospital protocols
- Participate in quality rounds and operational audits
- Monitor incident reporting and corrective action implementation
Financial & Resource Monitoring
- Support monitoring of billing processes and operational expenses
- Assist in budget tracking and cost control measures
- Monitor resource utilization and productivity indicators
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Prepare operational reports and performance dashboards
- Track patient statistics, service utilization, and departmental performance
- Provide operational insights to management
Patient Experience Management
- Ensure high standards of patient care and satisfaction
- Handle escalations and resolve service-related issues
- Monitor waiting times and service efficiency
Administrative & Strategic Support
- Support implementation of new operational systems and processes
- Coordinate internal meetings and operational reviews
- Assist in expansion planning, service development, and process improvement
Marketing & Outreach Coordination
- Support referral development and community engagement initiatives
- Assist in planning camps, programs, and promotional activities
- Coordinate with marketing team for operational support
Eligibility CriteriaEducation
- MBA in Healthcare Management / Hospital Administration / HR / Operations
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare operations
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
