About the Role
Sheela Neuro Multi-Speciality Hospital, Rewari is looking for an experienced and dynamic Medical Superintendent (MS) to oversee the overall clinical and administrative functioning of the hospital. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality patient care, clinical coordination, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and effective coordination between doctors, nursing staff, clinical departments, and hospital administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the hospital.
- Ensure smooth coordination between doctors, nursing, diagnostics, pharmacy, OT, ICU, emergency, and other clinical departments.
- Monitor the quality and efficiency of patient care and clinical services.
- Coordinate with consultants and clinical department heads regarding operational and patient-care requirements.
- Ensure adequate availability and deployment of doctors, nurses, technicians, and other clinical manpower.
- Monitor clinical protocols, hospital policies, SOPs, and ensure their effective implementation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NABH standards, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with the Quality/NABH team for implementation and continuous improvement of quality standards.
- Monitor patient safety, infection prevention and control, medication safety, and other clinical quality indicators.
- Review patient complaints, clinical concerns, incidents, and grievances and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor emergency services, ICU, OT, inpatient, outpatient, and other critical clinical operations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and availability of medical equipment and coordination with concerned departments for timely servicing.
- Participate in clinical audits, mortality/morbidity reviews, quality meetings, and other hospital committees.
- Review hospital performance indicators, clinical MIS, patient feedback, occupancy, and other operational reports.
- Coordinate with HR regarding recruitment, credentialing, training, performance, and manpower requirements of clinical staff.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of medical records in coordination with the Medical Records Department.
- Coordinate with administration, finance, billing, insurance/TPA, pharmacy, diagnostics, and other support departments to ensure smooth hospital operations.
- Support hospital management in developing and implementing clinical and operational strategies.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between management and medical/clinical teams.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, ethical medical practice, professionalism, and quality care.
- Handle medico-administrative matters and coordinate with management wherever required.
- Prepare regular reports and provide operational updates to the hospital management.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the hospital management from time to time.
Candidate Requirements
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MD/MS/DNB or MBA/MHA in Hospital Administration will be preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multi-speciality hospital.
- Prior experience in the role of Medical Superintendent / Deputy Medical Superintendent / Hospital Administrator / Clinical Administrator will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, clinical administration, quality management, and healthcare regulations.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and hospital accreditation processes will be an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis-management abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and hospital information systems.
Preferred Profile
Candidates with prior experience in a multi-speciality hospital and strong exposure to hospital administration, clinical operations, NABH/quality management, and team leadership will be preferred.
Salary: As per experience and hospital policy.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
