About the Role
Team members in this position help customers go from proof-of-concept to production. Along the way, they learn about how enterprises utilize the latest cloud infrastructure technology and how Baffle products can be used to protect this infrastructure.
Please note that this is a highly technical role and goes well beyond triaging support tickets and taking calls. Rather, it is a hands-on role that requires:
- Rapid learning of customer operational infrastructure and requirements
- Active Problem solving to resolve integration issues
- Direct coordination of multiple customers and Baffle teams to address customer needs
About the Team
Customer Success Engineers are part of Baffle’s Operations team which provides a wide range of services to other teams to ensure the overall success of the company. Members of the team are “jacks of all trades” unfazed by having to learn a new technology or tool to get a task done. Because of this, team members often are called upon to assist other teams in their projects and have the opportunity to be exposed to other disciplines and grow into different roles.
Like most other teams now, we support a hybrid work model where team members can work remotely or come onsite Bangalore office.
Background and Skills
Team members possessing the following skills or qualities will have the most success in this role:
- Experience using multiple cloud services from multiple cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud
- Experience with networking administration/configuration
- Experience with docker and docker orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Experience in IT operations and/or systems and database administration
- Experience testing and prototyping software deployments that integrate multiple 3rd party components
- Experience writing scripts or simple programs that leverage cloud services APIs or CLI tools to simply software or system deployment processes
- Experience as primary point-of-contact for customer interactions
- Experience coordinating efforts from technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to learn new technology and tools quickly using available online resources
- Ability to work independently but with enough self-awareness to know when to ask for help
- Strong desire to volunteer for new tasks with a preference for working on something meaningful than staying idle
