Job Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medicines while maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and hospital policies. The role involves inventory management, patient counseling, and supporting quality healthcare delivery in an ophthalmic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as per the doctor's prescription.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications before dispensing.
- Provide patients with appropriate medication counseling, including dosage, storage, and precautions.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of medicines and consumables.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely removal of expired or damaged stock.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines as per regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy reports as required.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and hospital administration for medication-related requirements.
- Ensure adherence to hospital SOPs, NABH standards, and statutory pharmacy regulations.
- Participate in periodic stock audits and inventory verification.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Handle billing and documentation related to pharmacy transactions using the hospital management system.
- Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
Mandatory Requirement
- Valid Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) / Telangana State Pharmacy Council Registration Certificate (Active License).
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
Required Skills
- Understanding of drug storage and inventory management.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulatory compliance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
