Education: ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical engineering or Material Management.
Experience - Minimum 7-10 years in Cable Manufacturing industry

Store Manager in a cable manufacturing company manages raw materials (copper, PVC, aluminium), work-in-progress, and finished cable inventory. Key responsibilities include receiving goods, verifying against purchase orders, ensuring proper storage (FIFO), maintaining stock accuracy via ERP/Tally, and coordinating dispatch with production.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Efficiently manage raw materials (copper, compounds, wire rods) and finished goods to ensure zero downtime in production.
- Goods Receipt & Inspection: Inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity in coordination with the QA department before storage.
- Stock Maintenance & Auditing: Conduct regular physical verification of inventory and maintain accurate documentation for audits.
- FIFO Implementation: Ensure First-In-First-Out (FIFO) procedures are followed for raw materials to prevent degradation, especially for compounds.
- Dispatch Logistics: Plan and oversee the dispatch of finished cables to clients, ensuring proper packing and documentation.
- ERP/Documentation: Maintain detailed digital and manual records of inward/outward material using systems like Tally or SAP.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the store area is clean, safe, and organised according to industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 7 to 10 years in inventory management, preferably in an electrical or manufacturing industry.
- Education: ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical engineering or Material Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally/SAP), MS Excel, and inventory management software.
- Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of material planning, dispatch planning, and safety protocols
