We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager - Accounts to lead our accounting team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and management, with a focus on the Leather industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and cash flow statements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
- MIS report monthly
- Advance Tax working (Consolidated statement – Quarterly)
- Taking care of all bank work and co-ordinate with bank people (If any document needed).
- TDS/TCS—Monthly – review of all voucher (sales, purchase and expenses) and payment planning to on due date every month.
- GST – Follow up to our person legal person and checking with our tally data (GSTR 2B) and filling.
- EPF /ESI – Monthly – filling the return and payment planning to on due date every month.
- Reconciliation of customer and supplier – get confirmation of account from customers on quarterly basis – reconcile account with supplier.
Requirements:
- CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) with 8-12 years of experience in accounting and finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles,
- Proficient in ERP systems, such as tally, and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with ability to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
