Job Summary
The Fire Safety Supervisor oversees all fire and life safety operations within the hotel. They ensure compliance with local fire regulations, conduct inspections, maintain fire protection equipment, train staff, and coordinate emergency response procedures to provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities Fire Safety Management
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections throughout the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with local fire safety laws, codes, and hotel policies.
- Monitor fire prevention measures in guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, storage areas, and public spaces.
- Maintain fire safety records, permits, and inspection reports.
Fire Protection Systems
- Monitor and inspect:
- Fire alarm systems
- Fire sprinkler systems
- Smoke and heat detectors
- Fire extinguishers
- Fire hydrants and hose reels
- Emergency lighting
- Exit signage
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with engineering and external contractors.
- Report and follow up on deficiencies until resolved.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and maintain the hotel's Emergency Response Plan.
- Organize fire drills for employees.
- Lead emergency evacuation during fire incidents.
- Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services.
- Ensure emergency exits remain unobstructed.
Staff Training
- Conduct fire safety induction for new employees.
- Train staff on:
- Fire extinguisher use
- Evacuation procedures
- Emergency communication
- Basic firefighting techniques
- Evaluate staff readiness through drills and practical exercises.
Incident Investigation
- Respond immediately to fire alarms and emergencies.
- Investigate fire incidents and false alarms.
- Prepare detailed incident reports.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation
Maintain records including:
- Fire equipment inspection logs
- Fire drill reports
- Maintenance records
- Training attendance
- Incident reports
- Regulatory compliance documents
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fire & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fire Safety Officer certification or equivalent (as required by local regulations).
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and emergency response.
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in fire safety, preferably in hotels, hospitality, commercial buildings, or large facilities.
- Experience with fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Experience conducting fire drills and safety training.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
