Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Design, review, and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional and technical requirements
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Conduct UI/UX validation and cross-browser/cross-device compatibility testing
- Validate design implementation (PSD/Figma to UI testing)
Automation Testing
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Optimize test coverage, execution time, and framework performance
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured
Quality Assurance & Collaboration
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, Bugzilla, Excel or similar tools
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality standards
- Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Perform root cause analysis for critical defects
Agile Practices
- Engage in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
- Ensure timely delivery of quality features within sprint cycles
- Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and metrics
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
- Working knowledge of programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and test integration
- Knowledge of testing frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, pytest, or Mocha
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Exposure to mobile app testing (Android/iOS)
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
- ISTQB or similar QA certification
