Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pathology Supervisor to manage the daily operations of the pathology laboratory, ensuring accurate reporting, quality compliance, and efficient workflow. The candidate should have strong technical expertise in pathology services and experience in supervising laboratory staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the pathology laboratory.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of pathology samples and reports.
- Monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) as per NABL standards.
- Oversee hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, microbiology, and immunology sections.
- Ensure proper sample collection, handling, storage, and documentation.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory reagents and consumables.
- Train, guide, and evaluate laboratory technicians and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with NABL, biosafety, infection control, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with pathologists, clinicians, and other hospital departments for smooth laboratory operations.
Candidate Requirements
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or an equivalent qualification.
- 5–8 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic pathology laboratory, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of pathology laboratory procedures, quality standards, and NABL accreditation.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
