Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Tiruppur. The ideal candidate will assist senior chefs in food preparation, maintain high standards of hygiene, and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking menu items.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, peeling, marinating, and portioning.
- Maintain mise en place for smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure food is prepared according to CafeD recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow all food safety and FSSAI hygiene standards.
- Receive, store, and rotate stock using FIFO principles.
- Minimize food wastage and support inventory control.
- Assist during busy service periods while maintaining speed and quality.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations.
Eligibility
- Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in a café, restaurant, or hotel kitchen.
- Freshers with culinary training are welcome to apply.
