Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QS Engineer to manage quantity surveying, cost estimation, billing, and contract administration activities for waste management and environmental projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate measurement of work, cost control, client billing, subcontractor billing, and project commercial management.
Key Responsibilities Quantity Surveying & Cost Management
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications.
- Verify quantities executed at site and maintain measurement records.
- Monitor project costs and support effective budget control.
- Prepare cost comparison statements and rate analyses.
Billing & Commercial Management
- Prepare and submit client RA Bills and final bills.
- Verify and certify subcontractor and vendor bills.
- Track payments and coordinate with clients and finance teams for timely collections.
- Maintain billing records, work measurements, and supporting documentation.
Contract Administration
- Review contracts, work orders, and tender documents.
- Monitor contractual obligations and identify variations, extra items, and change orders.
- Prepare and submit variation claims and supporting documents.
- Assist in resolving contractual and commercial issues.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, clients, and contractors.
- Monitor project progress and ensure billing is aligned with work completion.
- Prepare periodic commercial and project cost reports for management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Billing, and Cost Control.
- Experience in waste management, infrastructure, environmental, construction, EPC, or industrial projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, measurement, and billing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
- Good understanding of contracts, project costing, and commercial documentation.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
