Service Engineer – Weighbridge
Job Summary:
Responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic weighbridges and related weighing systems at customer sites. The role involves working with load cells, weight indicators, junction boxes, cables, displays, and weighing software.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission electronic weighbridges and weighing systems.
Diagnose and repair faults in load cells, weight indicators, junction boxes, cables, and power supply systems.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
Perform calibration, accuracy, repeatability, and linearity checks.
Check load-cell alignment, mounting, wiring, earthing, and junction-box connections.
Troubleshoot weighing indicators, displays, printers, and related software/networking issues.
Attend customer breakdown/service calls and provide on-site technical support.
Replace defective components and ensure proper system functioning after repairs.
Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and calibration documentation.
Train customers/operators on basic weighbridge operation and maintenance.
Coordinate with senior engineers and the technical team for complex issues.
Qualification:
Diploma/B.E./ B.Tech / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in weighbridge, industrial weighing systems, instrumentation, or electrical/electronics service preferred.
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge can also be considered.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of load cells, weight indicators, sensors, junction boxes and calibration.
Basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
Knowledge of RS232/RS485/TCP-IP and weighing software is an advantage.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to travel to customer/plant sites.
Ability to handle breakdowns and work independently.
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
