- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop.
- Ensure that all fabrication activities are performed according to the approved design, specifications, and standards.
- Maintain and enforce strict adherence to welding standards and quality control procedures.
- Lead a team of fabricators, welders, and other shop personnel, ensuring high levels of productivity, skill development, and safety.
- Monitor manpower and allocate resources effectively, optimizing efficiency across the team.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure the timely delivery of fabrication projects.
- Review work schedules, production targets, and manpower requirements, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines and project goals.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on fabrication techniques, safety protocols, and new technologies.
- Maintain an inventory of materials, equipment, and tools required for fabrication activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication-related issues and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
- Prepare reports on progress, challenges, and resource utilization for senior management.
