· To be responsible for the aesthetic upkeep and also for the cleanliness and
maintenance of the hospital (patient’s room and public areas).
· Responsible for the smooth functioning of the housekeeping department.
· To provide safe, pleasant and infection free environment to the patient.
· To prepare the duty chart and work allocation for the supervisors.
· Maximum utilization of manpower and reduction of overtime.
· To check the staff duty chart prepared by the supervisors before it is sent to the time office and ensure minimum staff for the areas of the hospital.
· To conduct regular meetings for staff, clerks and supervisors based on the patient's feedback and complaints.
· To organize for training of new recruits and on the job training for staff posted in the patient areas.
· To coordinate with the engineering department for the renovation, under repair and solving of perennial problems in-patient and public areas and inform to the VP – Operations.
· To coordinate with the nursing and patient services department for the performance of ward assistants who are assisting the patient/nurse/ward assistant.
· To coordinate with the guest relations for ensuring customer delight and satisfaction.
· To prepare the annual budget for the department.
· To ensure that bio-medical waste management protocols are followed as per the TNPC Board.
· To conduct monthly checks on the condemnation of the linen and place the indent for the same.
· To ensure that sufficient quantity of linen available for patients/investigation areas.
· To check and maintain the uniform of the Critical Area nursing staff, technicians and doctors.
· To visit all the areas of contract launderers and conduct physical inventory of linen.
· To conduct regular meeting with all the contract launderers to ensure proper washing of linen and to avoid mishandling.
· To be responsible for infection control free environment in the hospital especially in the critical areas.
· To check and clear all bills before sending to the GM Operations and accounts department.
To coordinate with the purchase of materials /linen/garden items.
To prepare the annual operating plan for the department and execution of the same and feedback to the management.
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
