Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Department: Mechanical CAD Services
We are looking for a Mechanical CAD Engineer (B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical) with strong knowledge of engineering drawings, structural steel fabrication processes, and 3D modelling tools. The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate CAD models, fabrication drawings, and supporting engineering teams in project execution.
Study and analyze project specifications, engineering drawings, and connection details.
Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design inputs.
Understand structural steel fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) concepts in engineering drawings.
Follow fabrication and welding standards such as ASME, AWS, AISC, and ASTM in structural drawings.
Develop 3D solid models from 2D layouts and engineering inputs.
Prepare erection drawings and detailed fabrication drawings with Bill of Materials (BOM).
Create 3D models and drawings for substation structures, transmission towers, and distribution poles.
Perform modelling, detailing, and checking of erection drawings, shop drawings, and DXF files.
Modify existing drawings based on client and engineering requirements.
Coordinate with local and global teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Work collaboratively with project teams to meet targets and milestones.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of GD&T and fabrication standards.
Good understanding of structural steel detailing concepts.
Ability to interpret and create fabrication and erection drawings.

Knowledge of structural steel modelling and fabrication drawings.
Exposure to power transmission or substation structures.
Good communication and coordination skills.
