Project Planning & Design
Identify plant modification and expansion requirements in coordination with Technical Director
Develop plant/equipment design using external Technical consultants and internal inputs from Technical Director
Assist in detailing plant design including layout, equipment, piping, heating and cooling, effluent management, storage, material movement, electrical and electronics and automation
Develop and manage project budgeting
Develop project tracking using management tools — MS Projects, Gantt charts, and other tools
Vendor Management
Identify vendors for all material and items required for project
Vendor assessment and qualification
Evaluate vendor quotations and proposal
Work with Purchase, Technical Director and Management to select and award POs to vendors
Follow-up with vendors for delivery
Assess quality of materials and equipment on site through inspection
Erection & Field Work
Plan and sequence erection activities in coordination with contractors and internal teams
Supervise equipment erection including reactors, vessels, tanks, heat exchangers and columns
Supervise piping erection, utility connections, electrical and instrumentation work
Monitor quality of erection work against engineering drawings and specifications
Identify and resolve site issues and technical deviations promptly
Ensure all erection activities are completed safely and as per approved methods
Contractor Management
Identify and shortlist contractors for equipment erection, piping, electrical, instrumentation and utility trades
Evaluate contractor capabilities and negotiate scope and commercial terms
Award and manage contracts across multiple contractors simultaneously
Manage contract variations and ensure documentation of all changes
Conduct regular site meetings with contractors to review progress and resolve issues
Assess contractor performance and maintain records for future reference
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all certification requirements for specialty chemicals plant are obtained at each stage
Develop and implement a site safety plan covering all erection and commissioning activities
Erection & Field Work

Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks on site Ensure GMP requirements are incorporated into plant design and commissioning
Coordinate with statutory bodies for inspections, approvals, and NOCs
Government liaison for all project-related regulatory requirements
Stakeholder & Team Management
Build and manage a large team of own staff and contract workforce
Define roles, responsibilities, and reporting structure for the project team
Coordinate with internal departments including Production, QC, Purchase and Accounts for project inputs
Coordinate with external consultants including process, piping, electrical and instrumentation throughout the project
Coordinate with equipment vendors for technical inputs, delivery follow-up and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive project documentation including drawings, approvals, contracts, and correspondence
Prepare and circulate weekly project progress reports
Maintain budget tracker and flag cost overruns with corrective actions
Document all site instructions, method statements, and inspection records
Maintain vendor and contractor performance records
Prepare final project completion and handover report
Report project status, risks and key decisions to management at regular intervals
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
