Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe and Type: Accurately type patient discharge summaries, case notes, and medical reports from doctor dictations or handwritten notes.
- Verify Information: Check patient details, primary diagnoses, procedures, prescribed medications, and follow-up instructions for complete accuracy.
- Meet Deadlines: Complete and process all paperwork within designated turnaround times so patients can leave on schedule.
- Maintain Records: Update electronic medical records (EMR) or hospital management software and properly file documents.
- Ensure Confidentiality: Strictly protect patient data and follow hospital privacy rules.
- Coordinate: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and the billing department to resolve missing notes or data errors.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Typing Speed: Fast and precise typing speed, typically between 40 to 70 words per minute.
- Medical Knowledge: Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Education: High school diploma or a certification/training in medical transcription.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years working in a hospital, clinic, or medical office setting.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital database systems
Pay: ₹17,886.28 - ₹20,851.61 per month
