Role Overview
The Manager – Planning, Budgeting & Estimation will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, estimation, cost monitoring, MIS reporting, and financial control for residential, commercial, and redevelopment projects. The role involves coordinating with execution, procurement, contracts, finance, and management teams to ensure projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines while maintaining effective cost control and reporting systems.
The incumbent will play a key role in project forecasting, budget utilization monitoring, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making support for management.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Scheduling
- Manage project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking for residential, commercial, and redevelopment projects.
- Develop detailed project execution schedules in coordination with project and site teams.
- Monitor project timelines, critical activities, and resource allocation.
- Track project progress against baseline schedules and identify delays or bottlenecks.
- Prepare recovery plans and revised schedules wherever required.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, procurement, and execution teams for effective project planning.
Budgeting & Cost Estimation
- Prepare project budgets, BOQ-based costing, detailed cost estimates, and feasibility calculations.
- Develop project cost plans for civil, finishing, MEP, infrastructure, and redevelopment activities.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and estimation based on drawings and specifications.
- Prepare comparative budget vs actual cost analysis for management review.
- Review and validate contractor estimates, quotations, and variation cost proposals.
- Support management in project financial planning and budget approvals.
Cost Monitoring & Financial Control
- Monitor project costs, cost centers, WBS elements, and budget utilization across projects.
- Identify schedule and budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives across projects.
- Monitor material consumption, subcontractor costs, and project overheads.
- Ensure cost controls are implemented effectively at project and departmental levels.
- Support commercial and procurement teams in cost benchmarking and rate analysis.
Cash Flow & Financial Analysis
- Prepare project cash flow statements and funding utilization reports.
- Forecast monthly and quarterly cash requirements for projects.
- Analyze project financial performance and profitability trends.
- Provide financial insights and cost analysis for management decision-making.
- Monitor project commitments, liabilities, and expenditure trends.
MIS Reporting & Management Reviews
- Generate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports covering:
- Project progress
- Budget utilization
- Cost variance analysis
- Cash flow status
- Forecast vs Actual analysis
- Funding utilization
- Project profitability
- Delayed activities and risk areas
- Prepare dashboards and presentations for senior management and review meetings.
- Highlight project risks, commercial concerns, and financial deviations proactively.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Projects, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, QS, CRM, and Execution teams for seamless planning and budgeting operations.
- Work closely with site teams to monitor actual progress and cost performance.
- Coordinate with consultants and vendors for estimation and budgeting inputs.
- Support senior management in strategic planning and operational decision-making.
ERP & Compliance Management
- Ensure project budgets, BOQs, WBS elements, and cost codes are updated in ERP systems.
- Maintain accurate project planning and budgeting records.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial control procedures and approval systems.
- Support internal and external audits related to project costing and budgeting.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- MBA/PG in Project Management, Construction Management, or Finance preferred.
- 8–15 years of experience in Planning, Budgeting, Estimation, or Project Controls within Real Estate/Construction industry.
- Strong experience in Residential, Commercial, High-rise, and Redevelopment projects.
- Expertise in BOQ preparation, project budgeting, estimation, and cost control.
- Strong understanding of project planning tools and ERP systems.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Primavera/MS Project and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
- Excellent MIS and dashboard reporting skills.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies and project execution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
