We are seeking a responsible and technically skilled Oxygen Gas Operator Cum Multi-Tasking Staff to support the Maintenance Department and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the hospital's Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS).
Position Summary
The Oxygen Gas Operator Cum Multi-Tasking Staff will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining oxygen and medical gas systems while assisting with general maintenance activities across the hospital. The ideal candidate should be attentive, safety-conscious, and capable of handling multiple maintenance-related responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor oxygen manifolds, oxygen tanks, and Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS).
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen and medical gases throughout the hospital.
- Monitor pressure levels, cylinder status, alarms, and system performance.
- Replace and connect oxygen cylinders as required following safety protocols.
- Maintain daily logs and records related to oxygen consumption and cylinder inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely replenishment of oxygen cylinders and medical gases.
- Conduct routine inspections and report any leakages, faults, or maintenance requirements.
- Assist in preventive maintenance of oxygen supply systems and related equipment.
- Support general maintenance activities including minor repairs, shifting equipment, and facility upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, fire safety requirements, and maintenance procedures.
- Respond promptly during emergency situations involving medical gas systems.
Required Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Experience in operating oxygen plants, manifolds, MGPS, or maintenance systems will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of medical gas systems and oxygen handling procedures.
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to maintain records and documentation.
- Strong attention to safety and operational protocols.
- Teamwork and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, if required.
