Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of food ingredients, packaging materials, and other operational supplies. The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate favorable commercial terms, ensure timely procurement, and optimize purchasing costs while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to ensure competitive sourcing.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and annual contracts.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to support business operations.
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance.
- Verify purchase requisitions and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately.
- Track deliveries and resolve supply delays or quality-related issues.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations and maintain vendor scorecards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company procurement policies.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost-saving analysis, and monthly MIS.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Build strong and professional relationships with existing vendors.
- Conduct regular vendor meetings to review performance and resolve concerns.
- Ensure timely communication regarding forecasts, order planning, and delivery schedules.
- Resolve vendor disputes related to pricing, quality, payments, and deliveries.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers for long-term business growth.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement or purchase within the Food Industry.
- Experience handling multiple vendors and procurement of food-related materials.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
