Job Role :
Press Shop Supervisor To supervise shop-floor metal pressing, equipment efficiency, and workforce performance while maintaining safety and quality norms.
Key Responsibilities
∙Production Execution: To handle stamping process, Tool setting, Process handling and Machine operating knowledge. “Plan, monitor, and control daily press shop production activities.” Ensure shift output targets are met across mechanical or hydraulic presses.
∙Die Management: Oversee tool/die changeovers, first-piece approvals, and basic troubleshooting for progressive or transfer dies.
∙Quality Control: Enforce in-process quality checks, monitor rejection and rework rates, and drive root cause analysis for stamping defects like cracks or burrs.
Manpower Allocation: Manage shift staffing, operator training, attendance, and task deployment on the shop floor.
∙Safety & Compliance: Maintain 5S workplace organization, enforce OSHA/plant safety rules, and adhere to standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills ∙
Education: Diploma / BE - Mechanical ∙Experience: 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a precision sheet metal stamping or automotive press shop environment.
∙Technical Knowledge: Understanding of press tonnage, sheet metal formability, die setting, and preventive maintenance. ∙
Core Tools: Familiarity with quality standards such as PPAP, APQP, or general quality control plans.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per month
