- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher with a good academic record.

Position Overview
- The Engineer - Design & Development will be responsible for designing aspects of a new product development project and design update of existing products with appropriate documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare component-level and assembly-level models and drawings of new products.
- Revise and update existing 3D models and drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with other Design Engineers to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
- Maintain notes and other documentation (Bill of materials, process layout, manuals, list of design parameters and performance metrics) for future reference.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturing processes, outsourced items and services data base.
- Coordinate prototype manufacturing in collaboration with other Production Engineers.
- Coordinate design activities in cross function teams related to Kaizen, CAPA, etc.
Required Knowledge & Abilities
- 3D - modeling (including sheet metal module) and detailing knowledge using Solidworks software.
- FEA analysis knowledge (using ANSYS or similar software).
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
Experience
- 2 - 5 Yrs experience of design department in manufacturing industry
