The Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting financial planning and analysis. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to oversee junior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST/VAT, TDS, income tax, etc.).
- Handle statutory filings and coordinate with auditors.
- Prepare and review budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Oversee payroll accounting and related compliance.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Improve accounting systems and internal controls.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
- Professional certification (CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA – preferred).
- 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
