# Sr. Engineer – MEP

## Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Engineer – MEP to support project estimation, planning, material coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
The role involves working closely with project, planning, procurement, site, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and consultants to ensure smooth execution of MEP projects.
## Key Responsibilities
### Estimation & Material Planning
* Review approved/GFC drawings, specifications, and project documents.
* Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed BOQs for MEP works.
* Cross-check quantities with drawings, tender documents, BOQs, and specifications.
* Identify material requirements, quantity gaps, and changes during project execution.
* Prepare Material Requests based on approved quantities and technical specifications.
* Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials are available as per project requirements.
* Prepare variation statements with original PO details, revised quantities, and technical justification.
* Check material consumption norms before raising material requests.
* Coordinate with project, planning, procurement, and site teams.
### Project Planning
* Assist in preparing project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
* Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), resource plans, and manpower requirements.
* Support project planning based on estimated quantities and execution requirements.
* Coordinate with the Project Manager/Project In-charge on project progress and planning.
* Assist in coordinating with subcontractors and vendors for project execution.
* Support discussions and negotiations with subcontractors/vendors as required.
### Testing & Commissioning
* Support testing and commissioning of MEP systems and equipment.
* Prepare commissioning and testing documents as required by the customer.
* Maintain commissioning records and reports.
* Coordinate with site teams for testing, commissioning, and project handover.
* Support preparation and submission of required documentation to customers, consultants, and PMC teams.
* Ensure smooth coordination during final project handover.
## Required Skills
* Good understanding of MEP systems, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting works.
* Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, estimation, costing, and material planning.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
* Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
* Good coordination and communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and external stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
* Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
## Experience
5–8 years of relevant experience in MEP, construction, building services, project execution, estimation, planning, or commissioning.
Candidates with relevant project management training or qualifications will be an added advantage.
