Position: Lead Palliative Care Physician
Qualification:
- MBBS from a recognized University.
- Valid registration with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC).
- Certificate Course/Fellowship/Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care from a recognized institution Experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Palliative Care.
- Demonstrated expertise in pain and symptom management, end-of-life care, communication of goals of care, and multidisciplinary team-based care.
- Experience in home-based/community palliative care services is preferred

- Experience in training, mentoring, or academic activities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and digital documentation.
- Willingness to contribute to service development, quality improvement, and community outreach initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive palliative care, including pain and symptom management, across inpatient, outpatient, and home-based care settings.
- Lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary palliative care team, providing clinical guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and facilitate discussions with patients and families regarding goals of care and shared decision-making.
- Conduct home visits and outpatient consultations to ensure continuity of care under the EIPC programme.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, uphold patient confidentiality, and ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and organizational standards.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, staff training, service development, and the advancement of palliative care practices within the organization.
