JOB Description – Audit Executive
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and surprise audits of warehouse operations and inventory.
- Verify stock accuracy through physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Review warehouse processes, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational risks, control weaknesses, and instances of process non-compliance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, root causes, risks, and corrective action recommendations.
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow up on audit findings.
- Evaluate inventory management practices to minimize stock loss, damage, and shrinkage.
- Analyze warehouse KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, finance, and operations teams to resolve audit issues.
- Support annual stock audits, cycle counts, and external audits as required.
- Maintain audit documentation, records, and evidence in accordance with company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse auditing, inventory control, internal audit, or warehouse operations.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Knowledge of internal audit principles and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to warehouse locations as required.
