Electrical Technician / Electrician with Plumbing Skills
Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing environment. The role also includes basic to intermediate plumbing maintenance and repair works to support smooth plant operations and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Works (Major Responsibility)
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in production machines and utility equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, lighting systems, MCC panels, and electrical distribution systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Monitor and maintain plant electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Perform inspections and testing of electrical equipment using appropriate tools and instruments.
- Support production teams in minimizing downtime through quick fault identification and repair.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment performance.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and electrical regulations.
Plumbing Works (Additional Skill)
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance for water supply and drainage systems.
- Repair leaks, blocked pipes, faucets, valves, and sanitary fixtures.
- Install and maintain pumps, pipelines, and water-related equipment when required.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems within the facility.
- Support facility maintenance activities related to plumbing and utilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma, Certificate, or Trade Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
- Minimum experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Basic plumbing knowledge and maintenance skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read electrical and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with production machinery and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and motor controls is an advantage.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a factory/manufacturing environment.
- May require shift work, overtime, and emergency breakdown response.
Involves working with electrical systems, machinery, heights, and maintenance tools.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹29,814.48 per month
