Job Summary The HR Manager will bridge plant operations and corporate strategy. This role ensures seamless labor compliance, industrial relations (IR), and workforce safety at the plant, while driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management at the Head Office.
Key Responsibilities Plant HR & Industrial Relations (IR)
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with Factory Act, Labor Laws, and pharma safety standards.
- Union & Grievance Management: Maintain healthy industrial relations and resolve worker grievances promptly.
- Contract Labor Management: Oversee vendor compliance, wages, and licensing for contract workers.
- Audit Readiness: Lead HR preparation for USFDA, WHO-GMP, and government labor audits.
- EHS Coordination: Partner with the Environment, Health, and Safety team to ensure plant safety.
Corporate / Head Office (HO) HR
- Strategic Talent Acquisition: Recruit highly skilled professionals for R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
- Performance Management: Drive the annual appraisal cycle, KPIs, and balanced scorecards for HO staff.
- Employee Engagement: Design corporate wellness, reward, and recognition programs.
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and coordinate leadership development programs.
- Succession Planning: Map critical corporate roles and build a robust talent pipeline.
Cross-Functional Duties
- Policy Harmonization: Standardize HR policies while respecting operational differences between plant and HO.
- HR Digitization: Implement HRMS modules across both corporate and manufacturing locations.
- Budgeting: Manage manpower budgeting and optimize cost-per-hire for both setups.
Required Qualifications
- Education: MBA or Master’s degree in HR, Personnel Management, or Industrial Relations.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a pharmaceutical plant environment.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian Labor Laws, Factories Act, and industrial dispute resolution.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict management, strategic thinking, and corporate communication skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently between the corporate headquarters and manufacturing sites.
