We are seeking a Short-Form Video Editor & Social Media Manager to take ownership of our video content repurposing and social media growth. In this role, you will watch our recorded classes, tutorials, and long-form videos, identify the most engaging and high-value moments, and edit them into high-impact short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks). You will also be responsible for managing our social media pages, writing catchy captions, and building brand awareness.
Big Plus: If you have a background in coding or understand programming concepts, that is a huge advantage! It will help you quickly spot the absolute best, most valuable parts of our technical content.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Repurposing: Review recorded long-form videos/lectures and extract highly engaging, valuable, or entertaining clips.
- Video Editing: Edit short-form videos (9:16 format) optimized for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok. This includes adding engaging captions, text overlays, cuts, and sound effects.
- Hook Optimization: Master the first 3 seconds of every video to maximize viewer retention and engagement.
- Social Media Management: Schedule and post content across our platforms, write compelling captions, and use relevant hashtags.
- Brand Promotion: Help brainstorm and execute strategies to grow the Modern Age Coders community and attract more students.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Short-Form Video Editor and Social Media Creator (please provide a portfolio or links to accounts you’ve managed).
- Proficiency in modern editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut).
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, hooks, and pacing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills (The "Extra Credit")
- Coding/Technical Background: Basic knowledge or a strong interest in programming (Python, JavaScript, Web Development, etc.) is highly preferred. Understanding the context of what is being taught will make your editing process seamless and highly accurate.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
