Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and team management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial accounting, taxation, audits, budgeting, and process improvement, with a proven track record of managing accounting functions independently.
The Accounts Manager will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting while supporting business decision-making through effective financial analysis.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure timely filing and compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage internal and statutory audits, ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and provide variance analysis.
- Support management with financial insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Allocate responsibilities, review work quality, and establish performance standards.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, HR, procurement, and operations teams on financial matters.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, vendors, and external stakeholders.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in accounting and finance functions.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
- Experience in handling audits, taxation, and financial reporting independently.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Financial Reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.
