About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Senior Accountant who can oversee and review our accounting and financial records and provide senior-level accounting support to management.
This is a part-time position and does not require day-to-day maintenance of accounts. Routine accounting work will be handled separately. The primary responsibility will be to review the accounts, ensure accuracy, handle finalisation, prepare financial statements, identify discrepancies and provide senior-level accounting guidance.
The candidate will also coordinate with management and the company's CA wherever required.
Key Responsibilities
- Periodically review the company's books of accounts and accounting records.
- Scrutinise ledgers, trial balance, receivables, payables and other accounts.
- Review accounting entries and identify errors or discrepancies.
- Prepare and/or review Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
- Handle year-end closing and finalisation of accounts.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Review bank reconciliations and other important reconciliations.
- Review GST and TDS accounting and records.
- Coordinate with the company's CA, auditors and other financial professionals.
- Ensure that accounting records are maintained correctly from a financial and statutory perspective.
- Assist management in understanding profitability, expenses, outstanding receivables/payables and overall financial position.
- Provide senior-level guidance on accounting treatment and financial matters.
- Review and improve accounting systems and controls wherever required.
- Assist in preparing financial information and reports required by management, banks or other stakeholders.
- Handle accounting-related matters that require senior-level expertise.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Trial Balance.
- Strong knowledge of ledger scrutiny, reconciliations and account finalisation.
- Ability to independently identify accounting errors and inconsistencies.
- Good understanding of statutory and financial compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Experience handling complete accounts and finalisation.
- Experience in manufacturing, textile, trading or wholesale businesses preferred.
- Experience coordinating with CAs and auditors will be an advantage.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a senior and experienced accountant who can review the overall financial health of the business rather than perform routine daily entries.
The person should be capable of looking at the books, understanding what is happening financially, identifying problems, ensuring proper accounting treatment and giving management clear advice when required.
Compensation
Part-time remuneration will be negotiable based on experience, expertise and frequency of engagement.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
