We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the airline industry and a strong understanding of financial operations and compliance within this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Perform reconciliations of accounts, including revenue, expenses, and balance sheets
- Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage airline-specific financial processes such as ticket sales reconciliation, GDS reporting, interline billing, and tax filings (e.g., passenger taxes, airport fees)
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations relevant to airline operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, for financial reporting and analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 year in the airline industry
- Strong understanding of airline revenue and expense systems, ticketing platforms, and IATA reporting standards
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or ACCA certification is a plus
- Experience with airline GDS systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) and BSP reporting
