The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst plays a vital role in our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by driving test execution and software reliability. Working directly with software engineers, product managers, and system architects in an Agile framework, you will validate new features, execute manual and automated test suites, and ensure our web and backend applications meet precise functional and performance requirements.
Core Responsibilities1. Test Execution & Quality Verification
- Design, write, and execute detailed functional, integration, system, and regression test suites aligned with business requirements.
- Conduct end-to-end regression testing prior to production release cycles to prevent software degradation.
- Perform targeted exploratory testing to expose edge-case bugs and usability bottlenecks.
2. Technical Validation & Backend Testing
- Perform REST API testing using tools like Postman or Insomnia to inspect request/response payloads, HTTP status codes, and JSON/XML schemas.
- Execute SQL queries (joins, aggregations, conditional statements) to validate backend database integrity and data migrations.
3. Defect Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Identify, document, and track software bugs using defect tracking systems like Jira or Azure DevOps, providing exact reproduction steps, system logs, and screenshots.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement) to clarify acceptance criteria early in the development process.
