Job Summary
The Branch In-Charge is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Gold Loan Branch, including business growth, gold loan operations, team supervision, compliance, and branch profitability. The role requires ensuring smooth branch operations while maintaining high standards of customer service, security, and regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Generation
- Achieve branch business targets for gold loan disbursement and portfolio growth.
- Develop strategies to acquire new customers and retain existing customers.
- Promote gold loan products and services within the local market.
- Build relationships with customers, local businesses, and referral partners.
- Monitor branch profitability and business performance.
Branch Operations
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate processing of gold loan applications, renewals, closures, and releases.
- Maintain branch records, documentation, and transaction registers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operational procedures.
Gold Appraisal & Loan Processing
- Supervise gold valuation and appraisal activities.
- Verify authenticity and quality of pledged gold ornaments.
- Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of pledged gold.
- Monitor loan disbursement and recovery processes.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, company policies, KYC norms, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor branch audits and address audit observations promptly.
- Maintain proper security procedures for pledged gold and cash management.
- Ensure fraud prevention and risk control measures are implemented.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise branch staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions.
- Support employee development and productivity improvement.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer experience and service quality.
- Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to enhance customer retention.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly branch reports.
- Monitor branch expenses and administrative activities.
- Submit MIS reports to management within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Gold Loan, NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services.
- Minimum 1–2 years of branch management or supervisory experience preferred.
