We are expanding our aerospace engineering team and are looking for experienced SolidWorks Design Engineers with hands-on experience in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and aircraft seat development.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience designing aircraft seating systems using SolidWorks integrated with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The ideal candidate should be familiar with aerospace engineering processes, product lifecycle management, design standards, and collaborative engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop aircraft seat components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Work directly within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for design, revision control, and collaboration.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T in accordance with aerospace standards.
- Develop and maintain complex assemblies and configurations.
- Modify existing designs based on engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
- Ensure compliance with customer design standards and aerospace quality requirements.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and design validation.
- Support prototype development and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with international engineering teams during design reviews.
- Maintain engineering BOMs and associated documentation.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience using SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience with the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
- Experience in aircraft seat or aircraft interior product design.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal, machined parts, welded structures, and plastic components.
- Experience creating production-ready manufacturing drawings.
- Good understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS).
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM/PLM).
- Ability to work independently within customer workflows.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with aerospace OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Knowledge of aircraft cabin interior certification requirements.
- Familiarity with design release processes and engineering change management.
- Understanding of aerospace quality systems and documentation.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
