Your Team's Impact
The NoSQL team manages the infrastructure, deployment, and lifecycle of enterprise NoSQL and data platforms, including provisioning, updates, patching, and troubleshooting. We collaborate with data stakeholders to configure, monitor, and resolve issues across a diverse portfolio of technologies (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Weaviate, Dremio, Redis, Valkey, DocumentDB, MSK, Zookeeper, Snowflake, and others). The team owns the operational excellence and reliability of these distributed systems from deployment through production support.
You'll join an international platform engineering team where hands-on problem-solving is valued over process overhead. We expect you to dig into problems, learn our systems deeply, and take initiative—not wait for detailed specifications.
What You'll Do
- We're seeking a Platform Engineer to join our international team and take hands-on ownership of our streaming and messaging infrastructure. You'll architect, deploy, and maintain event-driven systems that power our Kubernetes ecosystem while working collaboratively across USA and India timezones.
- Design & Deploy : Architect and implement streaming/messaging systems and event buses within Kubernetes environments, making trade-off decisions between reliability, performance, and operational complexity
- Infrastructure as Code : Write and maintain Terraform and Ansible configurations to provision, configure, and manage platform infrastructure reproducibly
- Operational Ownership : Manage deployments, monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and continuously improve observability and reliability
- Collaboration : Partner with development teams to understand messaging patterns and with cross-functional platform engineers across regions
- Hands-On Implementation : Write scripts, debug issues, and iterate on solutions—not just design from above
- On-Call Support : Participate in on-call rotation to respond to production incidents and system outages
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in architecting or maintaining streaming/messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS/GCP managed services, etc.)
- Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployments, operators, scaling, networking)
- Proficiency with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Proven experience deploying and managing resources to cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but GCP and Azure experience also valued)
- Comfortable with distributed systems concepts: eventual consistency, fault tolerance, message ordering trade-offs
- Availability for on-call rotation supporting production systems with flexible timezone coverage
- Timezone flexibility: Ability to work across overlapping USA and India business hours with occasional sync meetings outside standard hours
- Experience with Crossplane for infrastructure composition and multi-cloud management
- Familiarity with Coralogix or similar observability/log management platforms
- Background in Go, Python, or Bash scripting
- Experience with GitOps workflows and deployment automation
